Hi, I found a job in south orange nj. Unfortunately, I cant afford a car right now, I would have to commute. I live in NY. I was wondering if it is a safe place. The job is like 10 minutes away by walk from the station.
I’m moving close to Seton Hall from Arizona and I want to know what to expect- is there anything i should know about south orange history/culture that is common knowledge to everyone there? whats the popular music, clothes, hair styles? what do people do for fun?
My son will be taking the train to school in september out of our public school district. The district’s transportation department will give me what they call "Aid in Lieu of transportation" which is actually reimbursement of courtesty busing to and from our public schools. The mileage allowed from my home to his new school must be under 20 miles. (according to the NJSA 6A:27-2.2) I just miss the mark at 22 road miles, so I’m wondering what’s the mileage of the railroad tracks, since that is his mode of travel and that could affect my eligibity, since they state in their rejection letter " if I feel it’s under 20 miles please provide a direct route".
So If anyone knows, let me know.
